Garden & backyard stumps
Make space around established gardens, lawns and outdoor living areas. Access and the surrounding surfaces are assessed first.

Clear the way for a better backyard.
Stump grinding across North East Victoria.
An old stump shouldn’t get in the way of your plans. Grinding it below ground level can make space for a new lawn, a garden bed or simply a yard that’s easier to enjoy.
Tell us what you have in mind. We’ll assess the stump, access and site conditions, then quote the work and finish that suit your property.

The grindings are mixed into the existing soil and raked smooth, adding organic matter and helping return nutrients as the wood breaks down. Removing a stump leaves a hole, and the ground can settle over time. Any additional filling or topsoil needs to be discussed when you enquire and included in your quote.
Narrow gates, steps, steep slopes, soft ground, tight turns and obstacles along the route to the stump can make access difficult. Select Yes on the enquiry form and describe the access, including the width of any gates, so we can assess the best approach.
Below-surface grinding reduces the stump beneath ground level. Full removal clears the stump itself rather than leaving a section below ground. Roots outside the agreed work area may remain. We’ll assess your plans and confirm the depth, method and removal scope in your quote.
Include the diameter, number of stumps and tree type, if known, in your enquiry. We’ll assess the size, timber hardness and access to confirm whether the job is suitable and provide an accurate quote.
